Inside Hawthorn

About Hawthorn

14 years caring for the families of Church Lane

A small, independent pharmacy on a quiet Bristol street - owned by Hawthorn Health Ltd and led by Priya Sharma MRPharmS.

Our story

Hawthorn opened in 2012 with one simple idea - that your local pharmacy should feel like part of the community, not a queue. We took over a tired shop unit on Church Lane and rebuilt it around a proper consultation room, generous shelves and a kettle that's almost always on.

More than a decade on, we're still independent and still family-feeling. We dispense NHS prescriptions, run flu and COVID clinics, support people through stopping smoking, and offer same-day consultations under Pharmacy First - all from the same shop, with the same team.

Most of our patients live within a ten-minute walk on Whiteladies Road, Cotham, or Redland - but we deliver right across BS6, BS7 and BS8.
